Here is the first look gents. Seems as if EA is doing something at least. Signs of optimism? One thing I know they are focusing on are the DBs, and more specifically how they won't psychically make a play on the ball. In 12 and years prior they would jump routes while their back is turned to the QB, etc. No more of that if EA holds their word. That isn't addressed in this video, but still, looks like at least some progress. Another thing, EA better not shaft PS3 users again with sub par graphics and light maps compared to XBox users. That was BAD! Unplayable in some domes, couldn't even see what the heck was going on. A patch fixed that, apparantley because the light and shadow systems on the PS3 are more advanced and they didn't change their code to account for that, leaded to poor textures, pixelated gfx, and disgusting atari quality 3d grass. It's not a new engine, so you can't expect wholesale changes, but they are making headway. I've learned to be more open minded....have another look at the videos, you may come around. More of the same, likely, but not as much of the same as previous years it looks like.
I bought 10 and then skipped 11 and 12, thinking I may get 13 this year. Can't wait to try out the new O and D lineman we'll draft this weekend!
Nahhhhh. My lineman joke aside, I do think we take Tannehill tonight and a WR Friday some time. If Tannehill gets a good potential grade and nice speed, would be fun in a franchise with him progressing and spreading field out with lots of options.
My xbox live subscription went stale. Havent renewed it yet my friend......I will soon though, if I get a game I actually care about playing online....

Hey guys, a new Madden game! They fixed it at last! I can't wait for the new Madden! It's almost here! Man… this is just like last year's edition. But I guess it's better than watching preseason games. The season is here! I'm totally going to crush jobbers online. I just won the next six Super Bowls in franchise mode! What killed me the most was that due to the online franchise not updating the roster I had ****ty Jaamal Charles on my team instead of the one that was breaking out that year. Then I let BDH snooker me in a trade for Jerome Harrison. Also, my attempt at creating a hybrid madden defense didn't work so well either.
Last good Madden was 2006. Can't play more than 5 games now without saying its a glorified arcade game.
To be honest with ya bro, I've been playing Madden since the early 90s on the Super Nintendo.....its always been a glorified arcade game.
I can agree to an extent. I feel the newer versions have been dumbed down a lot as to where anyone can be good. 03-06, I feel you actually had to have "manual skills" to win and not just let the AI do everything. Former Madden nerd here.
