http://www.elementsthegame.com/ If you like Magic: The Gathering, you'll like this. It's a CCG, but all the currency is in game. Great stuff.
Thanks for the heads up on this Doc. Great game so far, and you don't need to mortgage your house to buy the cards. My name is opfinistic (surprise!) in game, look me up and we'll duel, I've already hammered our my first deck and am tweaking it ATM.
Well, I'm a time elemental, but I'm still feeling my way with deck tuning. The fact there's more than twice the deck colors makes it interesting and challenging. Right now, my emphasis -- beyond time -- is gravity, life and light.
Darkness and Death for me. God that sounds bad, but I used to love playing some really evil black/blue and black/red decks in M:TG.
The number of different potentially logical combinations boggles the mind. Now, I just need to grind my way through a bunch of level 2 matches to build up some points.
I hear you. I've whittled my deck down to 40 cards and it's pretty damn effective so far. We'll match up sometime this evening if you're around.
signed up. you guys are right, pretty addicting, at least until work blocks it haha. My username there is Ultra also
You can only win them, not purchase them. http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Master_Card_List That's the one I chose, it's vile, especially in my Venom deck. Yeah, I named it.
the deck building I'm still not good at. Being able to play as many 'mana' cards as you have makes it a little more confusing for me to build a good deck
It takes a little adjusting for sure. Also, being able to have 6 of each card is cool too. I'm using the 40% mana rule from MTG in my deck construction, but I think I can lower the percentage. Not that I can tell.
Maj.Pain in game deck hasn't really been built. What I think is funny is the creator used Spore to create alot of stuff.
I like the game, it's very fun. I've already wasted 2 hours here at work playing it! When I build my deck up, I'll be able to challenge you guys.
Just click the "Play Now" link, and they'll get you registered. It's so quick, if you blink you'll miss it. http://www.elementsthegame.com/
Do the training games for a bit, until you get a feel for your deck, cut your deck down in size to make it more efficient, and keep on keepin' on, you'll get better fast.
M:TG was the bombdizzile, but this may grow into something that rivals it given enough time. This just came out from the way it looks and I'm sure we'll see it grow. Upgraded cards are sick.
You can get the xbox live game for $10, then you can send off for a free promo card which comes with a voucher for two free starter decks.
I had on an old computer some sort of program that you could log in online and play MTG against other players. There was no art on the cards, but you could dig around and DL the artwork too. It wasn't the best, but it was serviceable, the only problem is that all players had access to all the cards, so you could build a sick deck using classic cards like the Moxes and the Black Lotus, even if you were a noob. It was irritating.
Was. Too freaking expensive to keep up with all the annual expansions, and the mini expansions, and the new basic set, and the new advanced set, and the new all girl on girl set. Wait. What?
