agree would love that signing. Were going to need a stout Oline when we acquire Flynn.

Isn't his brother a Dolphin scout? I think I read that somewhere today. That certainly doesn't hurt.

We have a scout named Matt Winston. They could be brothers.

I wanted Bell, but I figured he'd be expensive. This is good. Especially with Mario Williams potentially landing in our division. We have three opponents who'd love him.

Figures. This organization would rather have great linemen than great pass catchers. Clueless.

Yeah i check it. It was Ben Volin that mentioned it on his twitter account. Matt Winston is indeed his brother.

I couldn't find that exactly, but they are both from Midland, Texas. Hope that helps us. If we get Winston, I'll be pretty happy.
Look at it this way. We could have kept Marshall and drafted Riley Reiff.
If we sign Winston, we could draft Michael Floyd, or maybe even Justin Blackmon, and have 2 extra third rounders.
Would you rather have Marshall and Reiff, or Winston and Floyd plus 2 extra thirds?
Just gonna keep my fingers crossed that we sign Eric when he comes to visit.

Exactly. Marshall was only going to continue to be a pain in rear. He was never going to live up to his potential. If we're going to rebuild, let us rebuild the right way.
Flynn and Winston is a good start plus 1st round WR is a good start.

We don't have a good QB though. So much for an elite WR that needs a good QB when we dont have a good QB.

Wrong. It's not like the guy was ever mvp at the probowl with a half decent qb.

Our QBs were good enough to put the ball in his hands and how many dropped passes and more importantly dropped TDs did he have?

There is absolutely -0- point in signing yet another damn overpriced RT, when will we learn this lesson?

I get you, but the alternative is signing another overpriced (insert position here) Free Agency is desperate teams signing overpriced players, or has been hole pluggers.

It's easier to find a good WR than it is to find a good QB.

I love this. I mean, I really love it.

Throwing fits about our failure of an offseason and we're not even 4 hours into the new league year. Do we freak out when they tear up that beautiful grass before building a skyscraper?

I'll say it again; judge it when it's over with.

Mr C, with Soliai leaving, and Marshall, and guys like Carey and the 8 million carry forward, we are far under the cap.

I read we were only 9 million under before the Marshall trade, what with all the signing our own players.

Just wait and see how the roster comes together before complaining about possibly signing the best RT in the league or Marshall being traded.

Not so, we let Soliai's tag slip, at 12 million, we carried 8 million forward and we did not renew guys like Carey and Colombo will come off as well, toss in Marshall's effective 6 million dollar reduction and someone is not quite being accurate with the cap number.

Like last yr when we "saved" 8.2 million to carry forward to this season, toss in the 1.6 million dollar cap adjustment from the Redskins and Cowboys penalties.

Yep, really that simple, Ireland has a disdain for those special athletes who score Td's, as in he will not pay a nickel for them, he will pour resources into those athletes who do not actually score Td's, I've seen it for 4 yrs now, this is yr #5.

How many TDs does he help the RBs and WRs score by opening holes and pass protecting as well as any RT?
I am so sick and ******* tired of that mantra that linemen don't score TDs. It is so shortsighted and obtuse.

Yes, IMO, the best RT in the league.
