Where do they get this **** from?! Seriously, they type a paragraph with some reasonable explanation for everyone and then it gets to Henne....
"26. Chad Henne, Miami Dolphins
Analysis: Henne's only hope is big seasons from Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush.
Arrow is pointing: down"
A one liner that states nothing on Henne's great preseason performances or on our new offense, just Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush needs to carry him!
Also how is this team pointing down? We have the same people from last year but with added talent and experience, plus a reguvinated B Marsh and the addition of Reggie. Where is the love?!
Im going to laugh when we take the league by storm and Henne wins us 10-11 games this season!

I saw that stupid thing last night. Frankly, I don't think a single one of their "analysts" have even seen the Dolphins this year.
-
Just the time of the season for the blowhards to throw crap at the wall and hope some sticks to justify their salaries next year.

Yeah, I saw Bruschi and Herm the Sherm on NFLlive yesterday and they were doing a piece on which team has the worst QB situation or something. Bruschi said we have the 2nd or 3rd worse situation in the league and Herm the Sherm said we had the worse situation. What a surprise coming from one guy whom played for one of arch rivals in the division and another whom coached for one of arch rivals in the division.

Let's shut them the **** up, and come out gun's blazing!!!

There are quite a few teams with bad QB situations; Seattle, San Fran and Washington immediately jump out as having worse to me both long and short term. Short term I would expect teams like Carolina to suffer through growing pains. However, until Henne proves he can consistently play in the regular season the type of games he played against Carolina and Tampa, then we should not expect people to be falling over to praise him. He has shown some positive signs for sure, that should give us at least some optimism, but if he comes out and drops back to 2009 levels again we absolutely will have one of the worst QB situations in the league. At this point, they are just guessing based on last season more than anything.

I see this and almost every national article or opinion as coming from people who have seen less of the Dolphins than I have.

I don't understand why people do not put Sanchez with the bad QB also, the guy in my book hes probably the worst, he did show nothing to warrant a positive review...

The Dolphins will get respect when they earn it.steveincolorado and Pandarilla like this. -
I agree this team has to earn the respect back. If what Henne has done in the preseason is not a mirage, these bozo's will change their tune fast enough. I have said it before, Qb is not my biggest concern now. Clearly the offensive line, particularily the right side, has that distinction.

All the media Jet fans say he will step up , become the best player on the team this year etc. etc , we'll see , but bottom line is winning and taking advantage when the opportunity is there to make a play that is the difference between winning and losing. -

Oh and btw , just spank the Yets , if we did that and were 3 and 2 as you mention , then all sorts of positive things start influencing this team as I see it. -

Henne has really shown me things I want to see so far this year , so I am extremely anxious to see how or if that continues. -
There's a loss of objectivity that comes with total immersion in a team. -

I dont think the national media are supremely biased, I think they look at the team as a whole, the pereception nationally as well as amongst the fan base, last years successes and failures and individual performances and base their projections off of that and say they have to prove otherwise to change their opinions.
Paper champions mean nothing. I have stopped caring about what they say about the phins, I onlyy care how the Phins perform which should not be influenced by perception but just by production. Simply put if teh Phins win, the tune will change, until then, it is opinion. It is up to the Dolphins to produce or they vindicate the projections. -
this is why we need some former dolphins in the media especially at espn and why is it that there are no dolphin fans or former players that work for them?

I just watched the first quarter of the Atlanta/Pitt game. If Henne had played like Ryan, Henne would have been blasted on this board and by the media. There were missed opportunities, passes that hit the back shoulder of the crossing player, inaccurate passes, poor decisions, etc. And the thing is Ryan really didn't play that bad.
