I'm guessing he intentionally pulled this stunt to continue to get paid by ESPN until the end of the year.

Heh, as usual that weasel had his bed feathered beforehand. I really dislike Cowhered due to cowardice issues.

I'm Dominican and found nothing offensive in that statement. Everyone is so offended now, this country's pussification is getting freaking pathetic. Let's call it how it is - ESPN let him go because he signed a contract with Fox Sports and so they looked for any excuse to make it seem like they fired him.

I really dislike Cowherd, he is that arrogant loud-mouth who actually knows nothing at all yet pontificates about everything, I am glad he will no longer be in my morning radio. However, as a Hispanic (not Dominican but Cuban) I have to say I didn't find his comments offensive.
This country is treading a really dangerous line of getting offended about every single thing that's deemed criticism, and the worst part is the people claiming offense are mostly whites who are not the supposed offended party. It kind of annoys me.padre31 likes this. -

In context, it appears the greater point Cowherd was trying to make was that managing in baseball isn't rocket science. The high number of players from the Dominican Republic dominating while having little coaching coming up was his proof.
Of course, this is among the worst ways to paint with a broad brush to make an argument, but he's not exactly making an argument strictly based on ethnicity/race. -
I agree that they likely wouldn't have fired him had he not already been out the door, but I'm glad to see him go, and never watch or listen to him again. I really, really hate FOX sports and how they do things, and anyone who goes into that hole is dead to me. I miss others, like Erin Andrews and Stewart Mandel, but I tune out everything from that company.

Just one of the many reasons that I don't watch ESPN. -

Whether or not that is how anyone thinks about the situation, they simply speak for others and it is absurd. -
