ESPN - NFL Power Rankings - National Football League up two spots to 15 at ESPN FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Power Rankings up two spots to 16 at FOX. The Fox write up really pisses me off. Talking about gimmicks and easy schedule. We beat NE, SD, Denver, Buffalo. Still no respect!
In case they were unaware, we went 0-2 in our portion of the schedule that was determined based on last year's W/L record. And to be honest, Baltimore isn't exactly a cupcake.
yeah that is BS about the schedule...considering new england coming in had the easiest rated schedule at the beginning of the year after going 18-1
stuff like that makes me wish i had the phone number of whoever wrote that so I could explain that to them...
Hey, we play who we play. I am sure all, or most, of the teams we have beaten thought that it would be an easy automatic win on their schedule when they saw the PHINS on it. If not the teams you know the fans thought "well there is a win in week __ when we play the PHINS!.
We would be in the Top Ten if it wasn't for that horrible loss to the Texans. Man I wish we could replay that game.
The gimmick thing is dumb cuzz just about every play in football your trying to hide what your about to do or make it look like your going to do something else. He's right about the " easy schedule " but the nfl is set up to give teams that were bad the year before a chance at being better. We still have to beat the most of the teams we play to get into the playoffs just like any other team.
How is he/she right about the schedule? The fact that the AFC East plays the AFC West and NFC West (two of the worst divisions in football) has nothing to do with our W/L record from last year. If our record is inflated based on a soft schedule, so too is the Patriots, Jets and Bills. Of the games based on the W/L record from last year, the Bills have the easiest pair of games, it would seem, (@ JAX, CLE) in the division. The writer is clearly misinformed.
The Writer said we had an easy schedule, thats it..........and we do. They didn't say anything about how hard or soft it was compared to the other teams in the AFC East.
Well, the writer clearly referenced our "last place" schedule, all two games of it. No point in going back-and-forth, its semantics, really. Though, I did find it to be quite humorous.
We all know that it is best to earn respect rather than have it given to you on a silver platter whenever you do the slightest thing right (I'm looking at you New England).
