Remember when they retired Dan's jersey at halftime against the Ravens in 2000, and Griese was the host? He tried to make a joke about Dan's lack of 'running outside the pocket' abilities and the crowd was booing him. He just needs to stick to commentating at Happy Hour Shuffleboard tournaments or something.
