http://espn.go.com/nfl/preview10/team/_/name/mia There is a bunch of stuff in here so I will attempt to highlight each section. I recommend taking a look at the rest of it. Take a look guys and give me your thoughts on it.
Who is this Wickersham guy and why is he not riding the Jets/Pats bandwagon? Unacceptable. Just unacceptable.
I didn't like Tim Graham's reasoning. They're good but they're competing against two teams that finished ahead of them last year. I don't know what last year's finish has to do with this season.
I don't think that NE or NY are sitting nearly as pretty as many people do. With Bodden, Ty Warren, (and possibly Kaczur) out for the season, Mankins questionable, a lackluster ground game, and starting a bunch of 1st and 2nd year players on defense, NE will be in some trouble IMO. When you remove Seymour & Warren from the equation, NE doesn't have what it takes to allow any consistent pressure on the QB (and it doesn't look good that after Burgess, your 4 OLB's have 1 sack combined); hence 3/4 of their starting secondary (who have 5 combined starts among them) will be exploited. All of the young players that NE has been stockpiling in the draft will help cause the Pats to regress this season. Brady can only take them so far by himself. IMHO the Jets are just a time bomb waiting to implode. Rex Ryan is going to let off a ginormous fart..... and the consequent massive rush of air back into his anus is going suck in the entire Jests organization with it...... like a black hole (or brown hole in this case).
Because when you make predictions, it's always about what happened last year. It's too difficult to predict who will do what, especially teams that you expect to suck but they turn out to have great years.
If the offense plays like it looked in preseason we needn't worry about predictions. It'll be real simple, we'll lose lots. lol.
yeah i will say that if we were talking about favorites to win the east in june, then new england and new york deserved to be ahead of us by a slight margin. but when you factor in all the injuries and sanchez's lack of progression, then i feel we are the favorite followed by new england. jets are a clear third right now in my eyes
And apparently Brandon Marshall ISN'T elite. Man it's a bummer when the "5th best" player on our team (Starks) is only a "solid starter". We should probably just pack it in and hope for 2011.
