7) Let there be blood! (smash in the mouth playing philosophy)
8) kippered (Mel Kiper) any negative statement about the Dolphins
9) the Silent One ( the Big Tuna, Bill Parcells)
10) The Association (Front Office)

I thought it would be fun to create some potential euphemisms to carry into the new season. got any good ones?

I always liked "Reach out and touch someone" for Yeremiah Bell, given he shares the same last name of Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone.

Hate to be the language police, but these are not euphemisms. They're just nicknames.
A euphemism is is a substitution of an agreeable or less offensive expression in place of one that may offend or suggest something unpleasant to the listener.
For example, it is harsh to say that grandma is dead, so we say she, "passed away". Buying a "pre-owned vehicle" sounds better than a "used car".
That's all I got to say about that. -

there is a difference between a euphemism & a nickname & catch phrases. Maybe they would more properly be considered euphemistic to opposing teams on the receiving end of these entities. :yes:I used the word stretching the definition in an attempt to bridge a spectrum of play on words & catch phrases.
