I dont know if any of you guys out there have heard of Evans Blue before. But theyre a Canadian rock band from Toronto... think chevelle and breaking benjamin, but with better lyrics and i think a cooler sound. However the town of Lasalle, Ontario... about a 10-15 minute drive from where I live annually has a festival, which consists basically of a beer tent, with carny rides and of course... strawberries. The beer tent however was recently done away with, becuase of all the fights, and people jumping into the nearby detroit river, oh... and those unfortunate souls who were thrown into the detroit river during a fight. haha Anyways, the town always seems to find a way to book good talent, for example the Tea Party has played there, Finger eleven, Candle Box, Default... and i know im missing another common name, but its pretty cool for a small town here. They then fill out the bill with local bands which is always cool, the best part... its completely FREE. So anyways, i thought id share with you all... Evans Blue. The show was pretty cool, the band sounded awesome. The singer, who's voice sounds excellent on CD, seemed to struggle for a bit at first. Although i think that was mostly the sound guys fault. An awful lot of feed back through the mic. All in all though it was a good show.
