But placing sportsmanship and obedience to the side for a moment, those final memorable scenes from the Dolphins' loss to the Patriots on Sunday shouldn't be looked at as a sign of regression for a team that had appeared so poised through its first 10 games.
Because none of those incidents that marred the end of Sunday's game would have occurred if the Dolphins didn't matter again. None of it would have happened if the Dolphins were still considered a doormat instead of an actual rival.
