I did! This past weekend I bought this:

    And this:

For $50... Brand new. I know nothing about guitars. I know nothing about amps. I just know I had to have it.

4 days later, after some help from my guitar wielding co-worker, and some self tutoring.. I can play the riff from Smoke in the Water. No big deal, I know. But I have a guitar :P

yeah especially guitar related... good to see you picked it up even if it was just for ****s and giggles.

food all the time gets bought by me that way.. we have something called a wawa (don't know if you guys down there have those yet) and they have an awesome deli.. they put those sandwiches on sale ..

computer things get bought easily that way, games, clothes...

    i'm a sale freak.

    edit:

your guitar is an knock off a Gibson SG. I've wanted one for years.

That's a great price. My Epiphone Les Paul cost me $450. That's an SG knockoff which is another guitar I want. Sounds good, has a good sound for hard rock and metal as far as I can tell. If you want an idea of the sound you can get, Angus Young of AC/DC plays their stuff with a Gibson SG.

Jimmy Page played a double neck one for stairway to heaven live.

Daniel Johns of Silverchair played one at a time.

Nice little SG knockoff there. Can't beat it for $50. I used to play guitar when I was younger. I woulda stuck with it, but Baseball and girls got in the way.

    Yeah, your mom

Seriously, I can't believe no one had said it yet.

Nice guitar though man. Keep at it and one day you can put a half-way catchy jingle on youtube, get net famous, and then 3 years later when you're no longer relevant get hired by VH1. And isn't that every aspiring guitar player's dream?

Seriously though good luck with it.

Valid point. I wonder if he can finally get a date now? I get so tired of setting him up only to get a call from the lady later saying that they took one look and just kept walking. Its hard paying for the beer it takes to console him after getting constantly stood up. :pity:
