For those of you who have undergone the peer review process in science, you know that the peer review process is typically adversarial. I applaud Dr. Hoover's findings survive such scrupulous examination.

A couple of key quotes from the journal article:

 

Yes brother, by 100 distinguished scientist. Respectable journals don't publish data unless they have been peer reviewed and, in the case of this manuscript, this was the most thoroughly peer reviewed manuscript to date.

 

I will grant you that the wording of the journal editor was a bit confusing. The article was published and was peer reviewed before publication. I will follow up and post links to the comments from the reviewers as they are published by the journal.

 

True, but this is the strongest evidence thus far and holds great promise for discovery. The researcher was meticulous in his efforts to exclude terrestrial contamination and the chemical analysis, particularly the quantification of nitrogen is strongly indicative of an organism that was grown in an environment not typical of Earth. And, let's not forget, these "bugs" were found inside of meteorites.
