As they should. The real problem in Denver is Mr. Ed. . . . er, I mean Mr. Elway.
-
Now the whole Vance Joseph enigma puzzles me. Denver wasn’t the only team interested in Joseph as their new head coach, even before he was our disasterous DC here
Someone must really see something in this guy. I just don’t get itroy_miami likes this. -
The lack of QB play was the single biggest issue that team had this year. They will be likely to either pursue a Cousins vet type, or draft another young gun.
Hard to fire a first-year coach when it's your albatross that sunk him. -
Elway has done nothing to improve that team from that point on. In fact, he screwed the pooch when he passed on Kaepernick after trying to trade for him prior. -
I felt that the day Peyton left (and he was a shell at that point) was the day the Broncos went into rebuilding mode. They've yet to establish themselves as a legitimate team largely because of the QB situation. The defense has also fallen back and needs some work.
I don't see why they wouldn't make a big push for someone like Kirk Cousins. They still have weapons on offense so that would seem to solve 60% of their issues right there.
Sign Cousins and turn the focus towards re-loading that defense with Vance Joseph at the helm.
It honestly doesn't seem that complicated.
The Chargers are mediocre. The Raiders fell back this year and will have a new HC next year. Kansas City is going to be starting fresh with a new QB most likely. Elway could do a lot by bringing Cousins in. That division is open for the taking right now.texanphinatic likes this. -
Vance Joseph is not a good head coach, he also was not a good DC, the only thing he has proven in his entire career is that he is a decent defensive backs coach.
I really don't get the praise for this guy or why he was made a head coach so quickly anyway giving his utter lack of success and lack of experience as a DC.
Goes to show how clueless most of the NFL actually is. -
Vance did less with more than any other coach this season. Elway seems clueless about finding a real QB, so that awesome defense has been wasted. It would be funny if they get Eli for a year or two, but I don't see the Peyton magic being repeated with Eli. Playoff team? Sure, but not a Super Bowl team.

Joseph also coached our lackluster defense - talent wise - to our best defensive showing since '13. -
The run defense was atrocious, but that also had to do with the ignorant wide 9 defense and Alonso at Mike. -

VJ took the donks south, he was terrible.
How many experienced HC applied for the Donks HC job??? None
You want to know why, because Elway wanted a yes man, and VJ is great at that...
VJ also didn't want Wade back...LOL OK the best DC in the league, why? Because VJ knew Wade would show him up...
If anyone here believes that PM was the reason the Donks won the SB, then you never watched the game, Wade was the reason the Donks won the SB, hell PM was benched during the year.... -
You pay top price for players that make other players around them better, KC doesn't and has never done that.
But I could care less if they sign KC, just another team that shouldn't be hard to beat. -
That Redskins offense was so banged up this year, and that franchise as a whole is garbage. People whine about Ross, I'd take Ross 100 times out of 100 over a ****bag like Snyder and his cronies.
Cousins will immediately make multiple teams a contender. The Bills, Broncos, Cards, Jags, Giants all should beat down the door to get him. ****, if we aren't sold on post injury Tannehill we should check it out pretty hard. -
The Broncos problems aren't Joseph. At least there really isn't an argument to say it is. It's still too early.
Vance came in last year and made a chicken salad sandwich out of straight poop.
A lot of people, incorrectly, claim that the Dolphins defense was "putrid", "horrible", "worst in franchise history" last season, but the facts are, they were average. And they were average with 2nd and 3rd string players. Our DB's missed him greatly this year because he's a friggin' genius in that department.
