All the idiot had to do was walk out to wide reciever and run routes and he'd probably still be in the NFL. Not that I think he would be great at it, but at least he could have the he needs time to really learn the position arguement.

Well, no surprise, a 26 yr old rookie outfielder is a rather bleak proposition.

Would like to see him give the CFL a shot as I think he could thrive up there...or not.

Way I see it, if Doug Flutie could recreate himself in that league, White has very little to lose in trying out.

I think that is exactly what he will try to do now.

I don't, not yet anyway, I think he does give the CFL a shot as they run zone read type offenses up there and it would allow him to be a Qb and still have a hope of returning to the NFL.

I'll bet a few teams in the NFL would be interested in signing him to a decent contract if he was willing to mainly play WR (that is what I said he should be when he was at WVU). Hell, that is why I was so happy when we drafted him. I think he could be a very good NFL WR. Think Donald Driver.

He should move to Virginia to become a mortgage broker or real estate agent while continuing to live off his fame in that part of the country

His problem would be the same though, his speed to size ratio would pretty much mean he is a slot Wr, if he can adjust to it at all.

Well, we already know he is pretty much fearless when it comes to contact (anti-Ted Ginn we used to call him). Looks like a Donald Driver clone to me.

We shall see, odd that he would announce his retirement now with NFL teams being unable to sign anyone.

Can't believe we wasted a 2nd round pick on a guy that couldn't even hack it in baseball. I wish him the best, but what the hell were we thinking. Have you looked at the talent that was drafted after that guy?? That hurts.

I kinda feel bad for the kid. His entire world as he knew has suffered a bigger concussion than the hit he took from Ike. 2 dreams crushed within a year.

How long do you think 1 year of 2nd Round pick money is gonna last?

Yep, he received a 2.4 million dollar contract and, taxes, and being under 25, that is not enough cash to last a lifetime.

Man gotta work somewhere, if he does go to the CFL Edmonton, Toronto, and maybe Saskatchewan are his most likely landing spots.

He would be extremely fortunate to end up in Montreal were Trestman is considered a Qb Guru.

I think he made $2.4 mil from the Dolphins. After taxes (if he was smart and paid his taxes) that will leave him with ~$1.8 mil. I've got way more money than that and I work 60+ hrs per week still so I will be able to retire comfortably. I'm sure, like most NFL players, he's blown a good portion of that already and he's only 24 years old.

Yeah, he's not going to be able to just "sit around" if he wants to have a decent life. He's going to need to work.

Yep, I'd think he has smaller side deals in the way of endorsements but still, if he headed to the CFL, for say 3 yrs, and managed to start 2 of those yrs he could take a shot at the NFL in 2015 or so with 36 or more games of starting Qb film under his belt if he is successful and he would still be under 30.

I think he could do as well as Durant, and you know how the Argos franchise loves Big Name players.

More than anything, he needs snaps at Qb, in games, when it matters, most have forgotten but a Esks scout was hanging with Parcells and watching Pat White throw during last yr's training camp and this is the time of yr when CFL teams hold their tryout camps around the country.

Hasn't had much of a chance to show it though D22, that is yet another reason why imho he would be a good fit in the CFL simply because he no longer would be "the guy" he no longer would be guaranteed of anything, he would have to earn everything just to continue his career for the first time since probably junior high school.
