After adding a quarterback during draft weekend, the Dolphins took one off the depth chart Wednesday.
The team announced they had waived three players, including quarterback Luke Falk.
The Dolphins claimed Falk off waivers from the Jaguars in September, and he was inactive for four games before he went on IR with a wrist injury.
After trading for Josh Rosen, the Dolphins are back to three quarterbacks, along with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jake Rudock.
The Dolphins also waived cornerback Dee Delaney and defensive end Jeremiah Valoaga.

I thought Falk was going to win 5 super bowls in Miami? Lol. As I predicted he will never throw an NFL pass. I do feel bad for the guy who is probably his cousin that loves him so much on this forum.

He is made of paper. Weak arm.
Gase is a proven idiot. I figured they picked him up to use him a practice squad qb? As they don’t get hit? -

We had all of training camp to cut him...that's what training camp is for. It just makes zero sense to cut a young QB today when teams need 3 or 4 anyway (including practice squad). -
Damn, guess I'll own it: I'm the one who wrote a piece in 2018 comparing Falk to a young Drew Brees.
His story might not be over, but it doesn't look good for the kid if he couldn't get a shot in training camp on a team with a fairly wide-open QB competition.
Best of luck to him.tirty8, invid, Irishman and 1 other person like this. -

The Falk and Rosen moves I believe were, if not dictated by, strongly influenced by Caldwell’s opinions. -
From PFT:
Luke Falk, who was waived by the Dolphins after Josh Rosen arrived, has been claimed off waivers by the Jets.
Falk has a familiarity with Jets head coach Adam Gase, having spent time with him when Gase was coaching the Dolphins last year. Although Falk never got on the field with the Dolphins for a game, he did spend the first month of the season on the Dolphins’ active roster before going on injured reserve with a wrist injury.
Falk entered the NFL last year as a sixth-round pick of the Titans but was cut at the end of the preseason. Falk started 42 games at Washington State and is the Pac-12’s all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns and completion percentage. -
