You have to watch the video in this link, he wasn't upbeat at all about it, says he hopes it's not a distraction.
Personally, I don't think it can become a distraction if you are immersed into your craft, and this franchise needs exposure to its own Area and fans, it's a new time, time to get out of the funk that Parcells left us in, time for a new generation of dolphin fans to get interested in joining us...I'm all for it.

Meh, he's just upset the accountant is going to get all the screen time.

It can be like that scene in Apocalypse Now when they're going into battle and there's that little film crew and director, who is actually Coppola, saying:
"Don't look at the cameras, just keep fighting. Just keep fighting".dolfan32323, MrClean and djphinfan like this. -

When does Hard Knocks start anyway?

I'm so tired of hearing about "distractions". As if this team was great without them. 6-10, anyone?
Maybe a little "distraction" (the negative effects of which are vastly overstated anyway) is what this team needs.dolfan32323, ckparrothead and smahtaz like this. -
"The Miami Dolphins have long been synonymous with success on the field as evidenced by our five Super Bowl appearances and the only perfect season in NFL history," added Philbin. "That heritage serves as a constant reminder to our players and staff of the great legacy that has been left for us to uphold. Our team embraces that rich past and looks confidently to the future as we begin this journey back to the top of the NFL.
"All the decisions that have been made this off-season have had one guiding principle — will it help our players and organization reach its full potential? This one is no different. We are convinced that our affiliation with NFL FILMS and HBO will allow football fans everywhere an opportunity to comprehend the significant sacrifices and demands that our players endure each day along their journey in training camp as a Miami Dolphin. We eagerly await the opening of training camp on July 26 and the 2012 NFL regular season that lies ahead of us."
Sounds like a solid mission statement to me..one for which I agree with at this time.. -
I thought I read somewhere on here that August 7th was the start date...no?

To be honest with you, I didn't care much about the whole Hard Knocks thing. I thought it was a problem at first, but I am trying to have an open mind.

Tell him to go watch "Magic Mike". He will be able to release some of that built up tension.
Not saying he is, well...you know. But I think he just might really enjoy that movie. :tongue2: -
Fasano may be pre-occupied with other things. However, the nfl.com story on him being phased out of the offense (possibly) appears ungrounded on any fact and pure speculation. If it is close to the truth he may be unhappy about a lot of things.

I doubt very much that a TE-centric system like this will ditch Fasano, who actually has a high YPC stat, just a low amount of targets.
