WOW! Now that is some hype... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...illers-speed-turning-heads-for-miami-dolphins
He just said Miller was the fastest back he's ever seen, not necessarily that Miller was the fastest back ever. And I think that may be more or less relegated to those who may have worked out at the performance center. But even at that, Miller's improvement in his footwork and other areas of his game does make for some real exciting possibilities.
4.4 is very, very fast & his top speed was 4.38... wonder what his game speed is when the adrenalin is really pumping on game day?
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...EB060390610D7B8260CBEB&view=detail&FORM=VIRE5 While he didn’t break Chris Johnson’s record, he came close registering a 4.38 for the top mark among running backs in the 40-yard dash (via rotoworld.com). Considering he is 5'’11 and around 215 pounds, that’s pretty incredible. he packs a punch along with the speed, outweighing Johnson by about 30 lbs.
Kid looks to be a potential phenom at RB for us, I am still most excited about seeing him expand on his YPC of what? 4.9 or 5.1 YPC last season, with power, in his Rookie season! Reggie Bush is too much a diva "specialist" RB IMVHO and I'm glad we have Miller and our other RBs at the position this season. Not to take away from what Reggie TRIED to do here, personally I think we are better off with Miller and the remaining RB's. Just hope the OL gells fast enough to open the holes.
good cat, he is one of the guys that I've always thought could play in the league, but washed out and never really had a shot in the NFL. Suspect he tops 2k yds easily this season. CFL USED to have what was known as an option year, meaning 3 yr deal, after yr 2 the player could opt out, they semi did away with it now. As for Miller, have to see if he can handle the pounding, his size/speed combo is outstanding, the punishment deal is the unknown with him.
He never saw John Avery.
