Personal Favorite: Lollapallooza 1992
Bands: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ministry, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lush, Jesus and Mary Chain
Mayhem. Pure mayhem. 12 hours standing near the front of the stage. 20,000 person mosh pit. I entered the show with a pair of shorts, a hat, 2 shoes and left with one shoe, a torn shirt, no hat and fully covered in mud as firefighters continually drenched the crowd with water due to the very hot temps.
The concert was so good that Peal Jam OPENED the show! LOL can you imagine Pearl Jam as the teaser band? Soundgarden rocked and Ministry played for over an hour.. All I saw was horns on the stage and then the pushing lasted the entire set. This was during the peak of grunge, Pearl Jam had 10, Soundgarden had Badmotorfinger, Ministry was ahem, Ministry and RHCP was jamming Blood Sugar Sex Majic.
Insanity. Before the concert even started there was a massive plastic bottle water fight between two sections of the crowd that almost started a riot.
At the end of the day I was drained.. Get home to screaming parents.. Hurricane Andrew is going to hit, we need to evacuate in morning!!

"Can't you see" from MT and "Best of my love" by the Eagles.
I got to see MT, but never the Eagles.
But my all time favorites are The Four Seasons. Their shows were always great. And Kris Kristofferson, "A man & his music". Just him and his guitar, it was wonderful.cnc66 likes this. -

Hmm... I'd probably have to say one of the more recent ones I went to (last weekend actually) was one of the best ones I've seen. Music as a Weapon tour with Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, and Lacuna Coil. All three put on great shows, especially Disturbed and Killswitch.
However a few others than stand out would be Avenged Sevenfold/Shinedown, 10 Years/Earshot, Mudvayne/10 Years, Bullet For My Valentine/Still Remains, and Tool.
10 Years is definitely one of the best live acts I've seen, I'd check them out if you ever get the chance to. -

Another good show I saw at the Izod (Than Brendan Byrnes Arena) was Bob Dylan and Neil Young together. -

KISS, I forget when and where (Little Rock I think). But it was after the Psycho Circus tour and they had Skid Row and Ted Nugent open for them.
Van Halen reunion in Little Rock. Seeing Ed live was like seeing Marino play live.
David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar in Nashville. Sammy opened and was great. Dave followed up and was even greater. -
It PISSED rain at my show. I'm talking monsoon conditions all day. Took the bus down from New West, it involved 3 transfers and took about an hour and a half to get there. The girl I went with and I drank a 26er of Crown Royal on the bus ride(s) down there. I smuggled in a mickey of vodka as well since UBC did not allow liquor service at shows (don't know if that is still a policy or not).
I'd never heard of Lush or Jesus and the Mary Chain before I went, I left a fan of both but that was just the warmup of course.
Pearl Jam ROCKED. They were brilliant. I've seen them 4 times since and nothing matched that day. The pit was silly and I was gooned.
In between PJ and Soundgarden I ran into my ex girlfriend and we went and...had some relations. I had lost the girl I went there with...LOL!
Then Soundgarden started. 1/4 of the way through the show I made my way back to the front of the pit. Well, about halfway through their performance I felt an incredible pain in my foot. Made my way out of the pit, took off my show and found that my big toe was DARK purple. Hopped to the first aid tent and was told I had broken my toe.
There I am, alone, SOAKED to the skin, torn shirt and broken toe. I had to make the 1 1/2 hour trek back home on the bus in that condition. I never did get to see Chilis or Ministry...LOL! -
Oh...on topic.
TOOL, Everett Events Center, December 4, 2007.
Seen them 7 times and they have been unreal every time but that Everett shows was just a step above everything I'd seen before or since.
