Trading for a 38 year-old quarterback, when your team is not "super bowl ready", shows every fan, coach, player, media man, and anyone else who knows anything about the NFL that the New York Jets are not only a bad franchise, but made a stupid trade.
From a team that just picked up Chad Pennington after drafting a QB last year and this year AND picking up Josh McOwned in the off season? Please. Sometimes, things happen and you get the chance to upgrade the position. No one will argue that Favre isn't an upgrade at the QB position for us. Did we know he would be available 8 months ago? Of course not. Did the Dolphins know Chad would be? You do what you have to do and get the players who make your team better. BZ
