Free agent Brett Favre has undergone arthroscopic surgery to fix the torn biceps in his throwing arm, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Cortisone injections and biceps exercises didn't fix the problem, so Favre demonstrated his obvious intent to play again by having the operation. Favre has struggled in throwing sessions since the May surgery, however, and his comeback remains on hold. Mortensen reports that Favre will not return unless his passing makes "significant progress" before the season. The Vikings were originally set to sign Favre, but with hopes he'd participate in all of the offseason program. Their OTAs are expected to wrap up on Friday.
