Deon Anderson didn’t quite know what was going on at practice today, his first with the Dolphins since being signed on Monday.
“I’m running around, like, ‘I don’t understand any of this language,’” Anderson said Wednesday. “But I’m picking it up.”
Anderson better pick it up quickly, because the Dolphins may need him to play fullback on Sunday against the Steelers.
Starting fullback Lousaka Polite, who played with Anderson in Dallas in ‘07 sat out of Wednesday’s practice with a left knee injury.
“Lou, one of my former teammates, he’s helping me along,” Anderson said.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said Polite is no guarantee to play Sunday.
“As the week goes on, I’ll let you know if it’s something I’m overly concerned about,” Sparano said.
