http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1307439.html This cat is one of my Favorite Dolphin's players, tough, productive and hungry, to me he is what football is all about, I'm glad he signed that 900k extension and it did not go to his head. Only Lou is possibly slower than Cobbs was. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1307439.html
Thanks great article,Polite is one of my favorite Dolphins. He is always able to be trusted on 3rd and 1 situations. The guy also knows how to block well and I am sure this Sunday he will keep the Jets away from Henne.
and lou isn't as good a pass catcher as cobbs was..don't get me wrong im a big fan of his blocking, short yardage and short screen passes but i'd like to see someone else on the big passing plays cobbs has given us.
I think that is one of the problems with "the right 53 man roster" When every roster slot is counted on for production and someone goes down due to injury, that leaves a lesser player (in theory) who takes their place. Cobbs did do more, from ST to the Offense, Polite has to fill some of his role even though he is slower and less elusive and without as good reception abilties. But still, rest assured Polite will give 100% trying to fill that role.
yes but his primary function is not catching, it helps, to do a fullback screen with a guy that can take out bart scott.. I have been loving Lousaka Polite since he started with us. He is a third and short/ 4th and short giant and a necessity for our wildcat and base rushing plays. When Lousaka Polite gets the ball in his hand at Landshark we all need to yell LOU!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy reminds me of the Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. Mainly because of his hardwork and his commitment to do his job whether he is reconized or not. He is willing to get in there and do the dirty job no one else wants to do. That is a true Dolphin right there!!
+ 1 for this idea. Like MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE and DEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU
agreed totally which is my point on the title stating that lou is going to replace cobbs.alot of what cobbs did was pass catching downfield.i'd rather see lou being lead blocker snotting peoples noses and opening up holes for the recievers and runners out of the wildcat.kepp your ace's in their places so to speak..we start having lou rumbling downfeild and we lose a key blocker in that formation.i dont want lou replacing cobbs..i want lou continuing the success he has found at his role in the wc.
