Finley anyone? Would he be a good fit if we don't resign Fasano?

Guy is so overrated. How much of an upgrade would he actually be? If Philbin had a good relationship with him I could see him in Aqua.

I don't know if the numbers back up my perceptions of Finley, but it seems like he drops too many passes and is injury prone.

my dream off season would be signing 1 of keller, cook, finley and adding ertz in 2nd rnd or fauria in 2nd/3rd rnd -

I am sure Philbin talks to Ireland in regards to players, but I think Ireland makes all the decisions in the end. Just as you seem to feel Parcells made all the decisions when he was here and Ireland was the teams figurehead GM, who only did what he was told to do by Parcells. -

Anything other than would be a disaster, IMO. -
I think he's got to be a little bit alluring. Both Finley and Jennings are players who circumvent some of the issues that will have them avoiding big money free agency. There's no mystery, you know the players, how they fit, and their issues.

Gotta pass on Finley.... We have to sign a proven Wr though.

There is a good chance a quality player - rated high on Jeffys board - at one of those 3 position will be available at one of those 3 MAJOR holes when it's out turn to pick. -
And yes, LB could, maybe should, have been included on my original list. If nobody at one of the other 3 positions I mention is not worthy of being drafted where we are, a LB would be a fine choice too. -

Te'o will go top 5-7 IMO based on hype alone. -
This draft doesn't appear to be loaded with can't miss first round picks, but Te'o is certainly one of the few on the board I would be completely comfortable with the Dolphins selecting in the first round. -
I seriously doubt the Dolphins will draft him. I just think that he would be a great pick for them. -

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported over the weekend that the Packers, this offseason, either will trade or release stretch-the-field tight end Jermichael Finley, who obviously would be an upgrade for the Dolphins. Finley, 25, thrived in Mike McCarthy's and Joe Philbin's offense last season, with 767 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. But despite the Philbin/Finley connection, keep this in mind: Neither the Dolphins nor any team likely will trade for Finley and pay him the $7 million he's due in 2013 if they know he's going to be released. And considering Philbin likes conformists, he assuredly is aware of the fact that Finley has had a habit of saying things he shouldn't, as the Journal-Sentinel noted in the piece.
The newspaper also cited his penchant for drops (most among tight ends over the past year-and-a-half), erratic blocking ("embarrassing" at times, one scout said) and his diminished production (48 catches, 525 yards this season).
