Not long after Bill Parcells arrived as V.P. of football operations in Miami, the coaching staff was gutted like a trout with a weakness for cheese served on shiny metal one-pronged forks.
Now that the draft is over, we’ve caught wind of what could be the start of a similar bloodletting of scouts from the team’s front office.
Per a league source, the Fins have parted ways with regional scouts Ellis Rainsberger, Jack Glowik, and Roger Pollard.
Dolphins V.P. of media relations Harvey Greene says that Rainsberger has retired.
He had no comment on Glowik or Pollard.
Glowik was hired by the Saban regime in 2005, after spending 25 years in the college ranks as an assistant coach.
Rainsberger also joined the team contemporaneously with the Nicktator, and has worked in the NFL for 15 years.
Pollard, a BLESTO scout, is the only guy who worked for the team before Saban took over.
It’s unknown whether this is the end, or only the beginning.
