Firefox on Mac has traditionally been a pig when compared to Safari or Camino but I will certainly give it a try. Thanks!

 

you used to be able to drag an open tab right about the open tabs area for a site that you visit frequently and it would be a like a button and you could put a bunch of them in a row. doesnt seem to be working with this

 

Uh oh they removed the most visited toolbar.
That is not good at all.
I love those quick buttons.

 

I'm on it right now. It's pretty good but I don't know if its better than Google Chrome for me. Chrome is simplistic and fast, which I love.

 

^i used to be all about chrome but i switched, i think too many sites i was having issues with on chrome that i never experienced with Firefox...

so i will prob give this beta a try, anyone else having any problems besides maynard?

 

I don't have issues with Chrome anymore. When I first got it, it would crash but not anymore. The only issue I ever have with it is the "Wait" popup, signaling that it is taking longer to load the web pages than usual.

 

Chrome is probably faster, but I don't think I could live without all my firefox add-ons. I know chrome has their own now but they don't seem tone as extensive as firefox's quite yet

<3 Chrome! Works great for me, never really crashes. I love its simplistically.

 

I'm an avid Mac user. But if there's two things Apple has consistently gotten wrong, its:

- Their mice (From the first iMac "hockeypuck" to the current not-really-programmable-no-button-but-has-buttons" one they currently use.)
- Safari. For me it runs slower than Firefox and its layout is weird.

They still make the best computers, OS, phones, music devices, ect!!!

 

I want to use it, but I don't want to dl it and find that it doesn't support Google Toolbar; anyone know if it does?

 

Every version of Firefox has Google Toolbar build in. Im sure this one does too. Im going to DL it and check it out.

BTW I use both Firefox and Chrome.

 

Ok I DLed and no it doesn't support Google Toolbar. Which sucks because Firefox is known to support it even in Beta versions. Oh well.

You have it backwards: the extension has to support the browser version. When the final version of 4.0 comes out, then Google will issue an update to the toolbar to support 4.0.

Anyway, 4.0b is pretty nice, but the start-up time on the Mac is horrendous, and there seems to be a bug with multiple icons appearing in the Dock for no reason whatsoever.

 

That sucks. No Google toolbar is a dealbreaker for me. Guess I'll wait for the stable release.

 

Me too, just because Im used to it being there. Even though you can use the address bar just like the toolbar, without having buttons to the side of it.
