1. How comfortable are you playing guard?

Jermon Bushrod: “(I’ll play) however I can get on the field. My first nine years, I played left tackle. At the end of the day, I was open to coming here. I understand the positions that we have and the guys that we have here. Wherever I can make my mark and be comfortable, that's what I'm fighting to do."

    2. Is there a bigger adjustment moving to right guard because it’s one the other side of the line?

Bushrod: "It's going to be an adjustment, regardless, wherever. Last year, when I was coming off the shoulder deal in Chicago, circumstances being what (they were), (Head Coach Adam) Gase had me out there at tight end. That was an adjustment for me. You're one gap away; you’re one man away from the center. It's just a little different. That's kind of what I've been grinding towards. I haven't just been focusing on tackle. I've been fighting to do a little bit of guard stuff as well so wherever I'm needed, I'm fighting to be ready."

    3. How exciting is it about the possibility of starting on a line that features four former first-round picks?

Bushrod: “Any time you get a chance to start, it’s exciting. Any time you're on the team, you're excited. Being out there and contributing is something I’ve look forward to doing. I've started for the last seven years. That's just something that really drives me. That's something I'm looking forward to doing, just contributing however I can."

    4. How good can the offensive line can be?

Bushrod: “We can be good. In this offense, under the offensive line coach we have, Coach (Chris) Foerster, as long as we can jell together up front, we can get the job done. But we all have to be hitting on all cylinders. It just trickles down — head coach, coordinator, our positions coaches and then to us. They’re going to leave it up to us to get the job done. Our quarterback (Ryan Tannehill) is going to fight to put us in the right position and we have to make sure that we’re on top of our game. We have to get after it. We have to ID who we have to ID and we just have to go. We have to get him a few seconds back there and we have to open these holes.”

    5. What are some of the names people have called you?

Bushrod: “I get German, I get Jeremy. I don’t understand how I get Jeremy because there’s no ‘y’ anywhere in there, but … Most people in the league and since college and high school, they usually just call me by my last name.”

If he and Tunsil end up starting and clicking, we're going to see a very big impact on the offensive output of this team. Hard not to get excited.

I'm interested to see how the Billy Turner/Jermon Bushrod/Kraig Urbik RG battle plays out.

I still think they may kick Tunsil over to RT and slide James into RG, and just try to get the best LG out of the G group.

After all, you want your best players playing their positions on the field, and with Tunsil's skill set it would be a waste of talent to put him at G.

Whichever way it goes, if everyone is healthy to start the season, we should have our best OL in years. Also, remember that Albert, James and Pouncey have all been on the field together for only 10 of 32 games the last two years.

In terms of moving players around, it won't work because he's not open to it, but I'd move Albert to LG and just stick Tunsil at LT. Albert would be more protected inside at LG and has experience there. I think we may see Tunsil struggle a bit there; he's not a power player, he's a movement player. I'm fine with Bushrod, Turner and Urbik battling it out at RG. The second that Albert goes out with injury (because it's when and not if) move Tunsil to LT and keep him there.

Personally I think he'd be just as good, if not better at RG, at least better than anyone else you could put there, at minimum, and Tunsil would have no problem playing RT.

I think the best possible line is with Albert and Tunsil at the Ts, and James at RG, with Pouncey at C, and imo, with those 4 lined up like that, LG is all gravy.

I don't like the idea of either Albert or Tunsil at G, because they are far and away our best Ts.
