You mean you'd be pissed off with an excellent SOLB prospect that can drop into coverage, allow Misi to come in as a super reserve and take this defense to another level instead of the possibility of a non-Adrian Peterson like RB?
Remember something about Miami. They draft franchise players with their first round picks. Always. Aldon Smith could certainly be the pick and no one should be up in arms about that as long as they add a RB in FA and fix the guards spots. Speed WRs, COP backs (make TP horny), and receiving TEs aren't positions that you spend first rond picks on. Let's not even joke about the idea of a good guard prospect versus a very good OLB prospect in Pouncey vs. Smith.
It's not what Miami fans want, but take advantage of the draft, don't become a need based organization.
- speed WR
- LG
- RB
Those are not first round needs traditionally and for good reason. This organization drafts very well on the line. Let them continue to draft well where it matters to them and fix those other positions as best they can. If they feel strongly about Smith let them take him. A 3-4 DE though would be pushing it.
