As for the meat of the article, I don't think it is anything to really be concerned about. Let the arbitrator sort it out and e done with it.

 

Whether you like his editorial comment or not, I think there is a lot of truth in it. Players around the league talk about how teams treat their players. I am sure that players look at situations like Hicks when they make their decision about where they want to sign as a free agent. I am also sure that the players agents are aware of how teams treat their players and this probably plays into where a free agent might decide to sign.

 

Maybe if it was a more prominent player, or if they share eye same agent. I doubt many people are researching the plight of Artis Hicks when deciding on whether or not to play here or not. Money and opportunity are still the main drivers and always will be. It's Florio reaching. It made me laugh at least though.

 

The injury exists regardless of the x-ray. and if he didnt disclose the injury and Miami found out about it then whats the difference? I am not judging either way but it comes down to one of two things.

#1 Player knowing he has an injury and may never catch on with another team if they find out about it and is looking to get paid before he "retires"

or

#2 Team is looking to dump a player that wasnt performing by using an injury and lack of acknowleging the injury to the team as a reason to cut him with out pay.
