It's not that he gives out incorrect information, it's more that he's a rumor-monger and will try to 'suggest' things that aren't happening or won't happen.

It's great for what his site is, it creates hits and comments. He never comes out and reports that something bogus is happening, just says hey maybe this will happen. Same effect, with no accountability

He makes me mad with things he suggests, but it doesn't change the fact that he's got plenty of good connections and does generally know about things as soon as they break.

Thing is Alen, and the point of the thread, is the Florio's of the world make the millions off of Reputations, when they put their reps out on the open market people believe them, if they start becoming wildly wrong, their business goes away, so when they rehash a story, and several other NFL media types repeat that same story, there is a foundation for it.

That is why "a rumor isn't a rumor if it won't die"

Florio recycled this topic when it was a month old and forgotten, if he had been wrong he would look like a imbecile, and he, or Mortenson, would not risk that happening.

Look at an example on this forum, Conu had Clausen rated as the #1 Qb in the 2010 draft (in a mock) and people still bring it up to mess with him.

Now imagine if you had millions of page hits and you were dead wrong?

Pennington should have never been retained in he first place.... or just traded the minute we got Thigpen. If anything having him over Henne's shoulder was a distraction

The root of the problem isn't the QB, it's the way they use him..... it's the way this offense has morphed into something not even remotely familiar to what it was we thought we were building on

You watched them destroy Pat White....... what makes you think they've been any more competent when it comes to Henne?
