One of the most underrated groups of my generation, IMO. They just released their greatest hits, which contains pretty much any FF song you can think of. “All My Life” “Best Of You” “Everlong” “The Pretender” “My Hero” “Learn To Fly” “Times Like These” “Monkeywrench” “Big Me” “Breakout” “Long Road To Ruin” “This is a Call” “Skin and Bones” “Wheels” “Word Forward” “Everlong (acoustic)” It's a solid pickup. Go buy it. Or ask me for the dl link if you're cheap. Quality.
I really enjoy them. They have a Story Tellers on VH1 tonight. I'm stuck at work, but I have the DVR set.
Foo Fighters were always very hit or miss to me, I either loved it, or hated it, there was no middle ground with them for me. Liked "best of you" Hated "My Hero"
lol ****. I kind of figured you saw that movie and it went one way or the other, which happens to a lot of people. I thought it was a good song but just played waaay too much. They have a couple songs I just really don't need to hear again. But, most of their music is solid. The Pretender is one of the best songs by a band from their generation that I've heard in a longass time.
Oh sure, they have some great music, they are one of my semi favorite bans, even when they first came out I thought "Nirvana Redux" but they are way different than Nirvana ever was. To me they are a bit like Tonic, great song, not so good, great song, not so good.
i m not a huge fan of the foo but i like a good bit of their songs and some of their videos. and in no way am i a prince fan but the rendition of "best of you"during the superbowl not too long ago was great.does anybody know where i can get his version with the jimi hendrix intro included? all i have found was a couple videos but no audio for the entire thing.
They're a great live band also. Saw them last year and was blown away. They're easily one of my favorite 5 bands. Posted via Mobile Device
I have to admit, when I first heard about the Foo Fighters, I thought Dave Grohl was just trying to cash in on his fame being in Nirvana. After I heard the first album, I was really impressed. He's pretty talented and has put out some great stuff. Have loved the Foo's since I first heard them. I really like their cover of 'Bakerstreet', which came out about ten years ago as a b-side.
I thought that too at first. But they've grown on me a lot; now this is one of my favorite songs: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGQAfolOJUI"]YouTube- Everlong Acoustic[/ame] I appreciate their musicianship, their writing and their humor. This take of My Hero could change your mind about the song; despite having to see Killborn's face at the beginning: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkogKAZGm_g&NR=1"]YouTube- Foo Fighters - My Hero (Acoustic on Kilborn)[/ame]
Love me some Dave as Satan. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJTYp1tvd3Q"]YouTube- Tenacious D - Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown)[/ame]
