Man, I am guilty of buying the offseason and TC hype.
I thought this was the breakout year for Parker, thought Ajayi would have 2,000 total yards, Cutler would be the perfect fit from Day 1, Grant would be utilized in the offense and Julius Thomas would be the elite TE we lacked.
Amazing how camp starts and little by little, those dreams get torn down.
Then by the time the first week rolls around, I am already in panic mode.
Now here in Week 10, I don't think I will ever buy the hype anymore.
Not until I know the "unsexy" part of this team is fixed.
We sat here all offseason, and debated stats and wins and getting over the hump.
But deep down we didn't see and couldn't see how bad this team is fundamentally.
Next year I won't buy the hype. Not until I know they have made strides, real attempts to replace the linemen they have now.
I also want to know this is sustainable.
I love RT the servicable qb, but this team and this city need an injection of life at QB.
Again, look at LA and Phily.
Get some competition in and let the best man win.

Cutler put up a 121.3 rating last night- 311 yards, 81% completion ratio and 3 TD's.
For a guy with busted ribs, it's almost impossible to ask for anything more.
The offensive line also played solid last night despite a very good Raider's rush.
It was hard not to buy into the preseason hype with RT at the helm- this was supposed to be the year.
But you can't just ignore the brutal travel schedule, losing our bye week and everything else this team has endured....I think part of being a fan is taking that journey with your team and not blindly expecting perfection every single week when the chips are stacked against you.
This team has fought hard and they continue to fight.
Penalties DESTROYED us last night and it was obvious that some of the flags were thrown the wrong way.
That's the NFL though....sometimes they just don't go your way.
But we competed last night and darn near overcame all that BS anyway.
I'm not giving up on this team.

With everything that's happened this season the fact that this team is still competing and fighting and winning hard close games is awesome. I seriously am enjoying watching this team more than many others over the years. The results aren't quite there yet but the culture in Miami has definitely changed.
I generally try not to listen to the noise at the beginning of the season and just watch the team that's on the field, but anyone who had high expectations for this season after 17 went down deserves what they are feeling now. Maybe that's why I am enjoying it while others are crying in their beer and wanting to fire everybody.
8-8 would way exceed my expectations for this year so 4-4 is pretty good for half way.
All you chicken littles need to just Lighten up Francis.
