Is it legal to snap the football to a man in motion?

To elaborate,....if you watch the wild cat, when RB's in the QB slot, and RW comes in motion,...anyone notice how close it is to a direct snap to RW while in motion?....havent seen it yet, just wondering if its something we can actually see and have work for us.....
-
Well, it is an odd question but my guess is as long as the "Qb" was running parallel to the line of scrimmage it would be a legal snap.
However there is also a requirement for Backs to come to set position sometime during a play, but then they can go into motion parallel to the LoS. -
So if ronnie browns in shot gun, ricky runs from the Wr position between the snapper and the QB Ronnie brown, and catches the snap in stride,...thats legal??
-
like a snapped end around?
-
A) he comes set at some point before the ball is snapped
B)he is running parallel to the line of scrimmage and not directly towards the line of scrimmage.
It would be similar to a punt I think. -
so he dosent have to stop if he running parallel to the line?
-
wait, I just now get the "set at some point before the snap"...I gotcha now!! slow tonight. LOL!!
-
ok,..so with this in mind,...can anyone imagine the misdirections and havoc that can be played on opposing defenses??
-
with ricky's recent history of butter fingers and putting the ball on the ground, I would be hesitant to try snapping it to him while in motion.
-
But The QB dosent have to take the snap,...they can direct snap it to the RB, which isnt that uncommon in trick plays. Does it matter if hes the one in motion or not?
