Former Dolphins receiver wins lawsuit, still wonders what might have been
O.J. McDuffie limped out of the league for good in August of 2002, two seasons after his final game, four seasons after leading the AFC in receptions. He limped out after 415 catches, two toe surgeries and too many regrets, including one about a boy who, at the time, had yet to turn four months old.
"He never got to see me play," McDuffie says.
J.J's seen only a couple of clips, even as his grandmother Gloria has tried to convince her son to show him more.
"I haven't really wanted to watch any myself," McDuffie says.
