http://www.toplessrobot.com/2009/06/bonus_robs_transformers_2_faqs.php?page=1 How accurate is this? This has major spoilers. If this is accurate I feel like I have watched the entire movie.
It is accurate. Slanted, but accurate. FTR, it wasn't as bad as this guy makes it out to be. It's a Transformer movie, for christ sake! It's SUPPOSED to be mindless entertainment. Despite the fact that Shiat LeBoff was in it, it was worth paying to see, IMO.
The original TF series wasn't just mindless entertainment IMO which is why the movies just feel wrong to me personally.
That is a cop out. You can make the same argument with Batman or Spider-Man and Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the first two spider-men are actually good movies. Plus the Transformers look horrible in the movie.
I agree whole-heartedly with the bolded quote. But for guys my age, who grew up when the Transformers ruled the toy aisles, it still kicks *** to see Transformers turned into a summer blockbuster. These movies are nowhere near as sweet as the original Transformers: The Movie was. But then again, I have the fond memory of being a 10 year old boy when I saw that in the theater, and the Transformers were the greatest thing on the planet to me at the time.
I didn't watch the 2nd movie, however in the first movie they were hard to tell apart and just looked like chunks of metal.
They're the same in the second movie, they look nothing like they did back in the glory days. It's like they tried to make them extra-cool and futuristic by making them look so complex, and it just looks overdone. But at least they don't look like they did in Beast Wars...
They made them look like they would if they were actually made of the things they transformed from. They look complex because they are complex. The cartoon and original toys were very simple.
They were anything but hard to tell apart in the 1st movie. The decepticons get hard to tell apart in the final battle scene in the desert, but at no other time IMO.
Me either. I allowed myself to see the first one, cause I had to know. Now I refuse to see the second one. Someone even offered to pay and take me.
Mindless entertainment doesn't have to be stupid entertainment. Most entertainment, by definition is mindless.
Yes. No other autobot looked anything like that, and only other one close to that size was Bumblebee. And it was obvious he wasn't bumblebee.
