Former Broncos left tackle Matt Lepsis, who retired in 2008, claimed he played part of the prior season while under the influence of drugs.
“For the first six games of the year, I was high,” Lepsis told the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Lepsis explained that he practiced under the influence ten to 15 times before trying it in a game.
He says he started using drugs recreationally after taking painkillers due to a 2006 knee injury.
“The first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was get high, and I would try to stay that way all day long,” he said.
