Was really looking forward to hearing about Wake destroying him in scrimmage. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ers-ol-jonathan-martin-to-announce-retirement
Not buying the "injury" thing. He could have surgery and get it fixed and be ready to go. Fact is, as San Fran found out, the guy stinks. I hold his character in as high regard as Mr. Incognito's which obviously doesn't say much for either. Wish him well going forward.
Lol too funny. What a puss puss. Hopefully Mommy and Daddy can set him up with something nice and cushy.
Who was worse, Colombo, Tyson Clabo, Jon Martin, or Dallas Thomas? LMAO @ the Ginger finding the absolute worst 4 lineman in football for 4 consecutive years.
True, they all sucked monkey balls. But let's not pretend like the foundation of this team was built when he left, he made a lot of positive contributions (cough cough Tannedank) in his time as well.
Mr Martin in a landslide to me. No one else on that list brought his teammates down because they got demoted.
That and the fact Dallas Thomas is penciled in as a starter for us right now. Pretty good for being absolutely one of the worst olineman in football lol.
My brain is hurting trying to decide which was the worst. I'll go with: 1. Martin-not only was he inept but he messed up our locker room 2. Colombo-possibly worse than Martin but without the locker room issues 3. Clabo-actually wasn't THAT bad the second half of the 2013 season when he got reinserted in the starting lineup after Martin took his spot at RT for 1 week, still not good though. First half of the season was appalling. 4. Thomas-pretty poor but he's not terrible when he's playing guard instead of tackle
It's nearly impossible to refer to an NFL football player as a pu$$y...until J Martin's in your locker room.
Can't wait for the 30 for 30. Softer than Charmin...The Jonathan Martin story. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Wade Smith just retired this last April, he was a pretty good outside zone scheme Guard for a quite a while.
But when he was here he killed three QBs, Fiedler, Griese and Feeley. IMO he was the worst T we ever had. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Was that Wade Smith? Or was it maybe Todd Wade? Heck, I don't remember..hard to keep up with the losers we have had at times.
Lol I remember that...people saw that and assumed he'd get stronger and make this gigantic leap from one of the sorriest tackles in the league to pretty decent in one offseason. Man if I had a dollar for everytime someone told me they weren't really worried about Martin that offseason...I could buy the team from Dumbo.
It was Smith. Todd Wade was awesome for us but he left for more $$$. As I recall he didn't last too long after he left either. Wade Smith did hang on awhile after leaving here, but still doesn't change the fact that he was flat out terrible. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Not sure if true but I just heard Incognito just retired....? Edit- I can't find anything on it as of yet.
The comments section is killing it on that page lmao. "I believe the back surgery was to insert a spine, which he decided he wouldn't know what to do with it and decided he'd rather retire." "He's retiring because one of the other linemen ate his fruit snacks in the lunch room...Poor fella.."
I was wrong about Johnni. I predicted he would never suit up in an NFL uniform after the Dolphin debacle. He did make it one more year. He made a shade under 5 million dollars in his career. If he had any balls he could have been a decent player in the league. He is easily my most disliked Fin of the last 5 years.
