"I would like to make sure the game of football survives," Thomas said. "The scientific findings to date are clear that repetitive trauma to the head results in CTE in many athletes. I want to do my part to help the researchers understand this disease and to discover treatments and an eventual cure. "This is not just about professional athletes who may know there are risks to the game. This is about making sure that the game is safe for all of those children playing the game today and in the future." http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports...n-zach-thomas-to-donate-his-brain-205838.html
This is probably where this stemmed from. It was on I believe two weeks ago on Real Sports on HBO. They did a real good job with it. http://www.hbo.com/real-sports-with-bryant-gumbel
i just hope he doesn't speed the process up any...Science will take your brain when you pass, you don't have to hurry it along, Zach...
yesterday you have Rex Ryan blasting the bird, today you have this....talk about class...thanks Zach, hope they don't take your brain for another 100 years bro!!
Zach is "THE BEST OF THE BEST." Think we can convince him to donate a bit of "HOW TO FRAKIN TACKLE" to our D?
Rumor has it that The Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy at the Boston University School of Medicine took both Ted Ginn and Jason Allen's brain last season saying ,"they won't miss it"
I was arguing with an Eagle's fan over the Hall of Fame....he didn't think Zach Thomas would make it to the Hall of Fame and I told him I thought Zach had as good of a shot as McNabb. Good to see Zach is thinking about future football players, and not just about himself.
Zach is still a class act all the way, wish our FO would put him on as a coach in some capacity. Ross had better put Zach on the Ring of Honor in our stadium, he belongs there.
