This is an extremely sad story. Thomas was probably one of the best coaches in Iowa history. He was respected around the state and the nation as a high school football coach... even produced some great NFL players with a school that represents two towns of less than 3,000 people combined. Parkersberg was basically destroyed last summer by a tornado and now this. There is no place in Iowa that is more proud of their football tradition than Aplington-Parkersberg.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Thomas' family and friends.
