Happy Independence Day to all of you!

    :flag:

As for my plans Debbie, it's a multi-day extravaganza.

Tomorrow my wife and I are heading to Kansas City, where we are going to tour Boulevard Brewery in the afternoon, before going to the Royals / White Sox game in the evening and watching the fireworks display after the game ... we have great seats and I can't wait.

Saturday we'll head out early, after buying some illegal fireworks in Missouri, to Wamego, Kansas, a tiny little town in Kansas. We'll catch the parade and car show in the early afternoon, before settling in with about 20-30 of our friends in the back yard to grill, blow up our fireworks, and watch the "big" display - which is actually the largest hand-fired display in the Midwest. (It used to be in the United States, but apparently there's one bigger now) I like the display because it's impressive that they time it all - by hand - very well.

Sunday will be a day of sleeping in and recovery, lol.

I wish all of you a Happy July 4th! Have fun and stay safe!

They actually called off the fireworks display in Baton Rouge a few weeks ago (per my fiance), because we went a month and a half without rain (or close to it), and it was going to be a safety hazard with everything so dry. It has rained a little bit this past week, but I am not sure if they will actually light any off or not.
