What's everyone doing this weekend? We're spending it with family, cooking out etc. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY TO ALL OF YOU!!
Happy Independence Day to all of you! As for my plans Debbie, it's a multi-day extravaganza. Tomorrow my wife and I are heading to Kansas City, where we are going to tour Boulevard Brewery in the afternoon, before going to the Royals / White Sox game in the evening and watching the fireworks display after the game ... we have great seats and I can't wait. Saturday we'll head out early, after buying some illegal fireworks in Missouri, to Wamego, Kansas, a tiny little town in Kansas. We'll catch the parade and car show in the early afternoon, before settling in with about 20-30 of our friends in the back yard to grill, blow up our fireworks, and watch the "big" display - which is actually the largest hand-fired display in the Midwest. (It used to be in the United States, but apparently there's one bigger now) I like the display because it's impressive that they time it all - by hand - very well. Sunday will be a day of sleeping in and recovery, lol. I wish all of you a Happy July 4th! Have fun and stay safe!
They actually called off the fireworks display in Baton Rouge a few weeks ago (per my fiance), because we went a month and a half without rain (or close to it), and it was going to be a safety hazard with everything so dry. It has rained a little bit this past week, but I am not sure if they will actually light any off or not.
