Bid on Finnegan, he's almost up! I don't get mad, but I see why others would. I just naturally assume ya'll a bunch of ***** anyway.
You did notice I was outbid for Flynn, and don't have 7 mill to bid on him and moved onto the net best option who is still affordable, and all reports indicate gregg could be retiring and I was at ten bids. Really if it was my intent would I not bid on both smithand henne and others. I'm sorry if you were sensitive to my comments but really I am up front when I do something... Saying I would bid on foster, bidding at the last second.
In all honesty, Todd, I know it's frustrating. It pisses me off that people bid within two hours left but it is what it is. I think I can safely say we've all enjoyed you participating this year as it has relieved some of the stress that comes with the game. Don't back out now after you've put in good work. Just make the best of it.
Here's the time line: I sent the PM (telling him to **** off) earlier today when Schis was logged off I believe (He logged off around 5:50pm). -Schis logged back in around 9:50pm. -He places a bid on Pouho at 9:52. -Then I'm guessing he reads my PM shortly after b/c at 10:00pm he proceeds to bid up Eric Wright to 350k (I had a 300k bid on him). -Then he likely spent the next 20 minutes strategizing how to screw me over by going through all my stuff and who I have bids on. -He made no posts during this time. -He sees my Alex Smith bid of $3.0M and realizes that raising it his best way to screw me over since he's not about to drop 16.25M on Calais or someone else expensive whom he'd be stuck with, and he also knows someone will come behind him and outbid him on Alex Smith which will take him off the hook for the $3.1M. -At 10:22 he retracts his 300k bid on Kelly Gregg -At 10:23 he bids $3.1M on Alex Smith. He's a cowardly p***y hiding behind both his monitor and the loopholes of the rules to screw people over.
I was just joking, lol. I'm actually kind of relieved because my first rule was do not bid too much on running backs.
Don't blame me for ruining anything my friend. I'm merely reacting to someone else who's already taken the fun out of it for me with his cheap, scum bag antics.
Good. I had some extra cash to spend after finally getting the roethlisberger restructuring done. Figured I may as well go after the best back
Getting out bid by a min is the worst but I think its like a right of passage in this league. Schisno just pops so many cherries.
No, because that would make it even more obvious. Instead you do it with only a few in order to hide behind the rules while following it up with some diarrhea of the mouth post I'm responding to. Ironic that your only bids when you logged back in after seeing my PM was on 2 of my guys-- Eric Wright and Alex Smith. Of course you can't do it to all my guys b/c like you said--- you don't have 7M to bid with so you picked 2 guys that wouldn't leave you burned b/c someone will outbid you on Smith and if you win Wright it only costs you 350k.
Alen brother, I'd never pull this **** with your or anyone else here b/c I at least have some semblance of sportsmanship and principle. I know exactly what he did despite what he attempts to pacify it. After all the time I spent with this league so far it's all the more reason to back out b/c I'm not about to spend more time in it when I know a POS like this is out to intentionally & maliciously ruin it for others. All the fun I was having disappeared like a blown out tire with his antics tonight. I could care less if someone genuinely bids me up b/c I don't feel any sense of entitlement, but I won't stand for someone making it personal my friend. It'll be easier if I bow out b/c I'll just make things a mess if I stick around, and that would be even less fair to you guys.
Hey, I've been bidding well before that and if I were petty, I would have waited to do any bidding at 12, and boast about it. This is clearly coincidental. I can't help it if some people are sensitive to comments on their team and become defensive. I should also mentioned I'm always logged into the via mac, tablet or phone.
C Honestly, if I was malicious I'd be celebrating and saying good riddance and all that jazz, but I'm not going to apologize for something that I did not intend. Would igo through the trouble of looking up contract info if I'm here to poss on others. Really get over yourself, if you go sorry to see that
If it didn't come immediately after reading my PM telling him to **** off...... and if he didn't retract another bid in order to up bid me.... and if he perhaps mixed in some other bids on players I'm not bidding on during this 20 minute period...... or if he posted anything else during this 20 minute period, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Liar bro. I looked at your profile and you were logged off.... and you had no activity between 5:48 and 9:52..... but all of a sudden when you become active again it's my bid-on players which are the only things you're concentrating on after reading my pm telling you to **** off. "Coincidental" would be if you bid on multiple players and mine happened to be one of them. Non-coincidental is when you bid on only 2 players within a 20 minute period who happen to both be mine but you have to first retract a different bid to do so (all coming after I tell you to **** off)
You might be a prick but you're not a completely stupid prick. Of course you're going to do it as subtly as possible. That's what people do when they're trying to screw someone over w/o getting caught. I don't want your apology bro b/c even that's likely filled with sheit.
It's true, you know that little check box that keeps you logged in, mine is checked. Believe what you want I'm not here to deal with conspiracies, whining or drama. I'd prefer you stay, but whatever, i'm sure someone else will whine when I bid close to the deadline, even when it's not a minute before.
Toddphins, look. Just watch some Kevin Hart, laugh, go to sleep and then you'll be fine. It's just a game.
You said you didn't have 7.0M to bid on Flynn which is why you "supposedly" bid 3.1M on Smith instead...... but Flynn was only at 5.0M the time you bid me up on Smith. If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck.......
I honestly don't know the whole story. It sucks when someone bids at the last second but it's happened to me. It's part of the league and I don't believe that there's malicious intent most of the time. That being said, I'm pretty sure you can't retract a bid to make another bid on someone else. If I'm not mistaken the only way you can retract a bid is if you already have 10 active bids.
$300K bids can be retracted. I don't understand what good whining about this stuff does (not talking specifically to you s24/7 but in general) because it just puts a target on your back. Everyone gets outbid in the last 4-5 hours... it happens. Sometimes people up the bids a little to keep them alive for later. That's what people need to do when there is a 10 bid limit. Just come to terms with the fact that there are 31 other GMs and you're not the only one going after a player.
It is a game.... but I take the hours and hours and hours I put into it personally, my friend. When I know someone is maliciously screwing with all that time I've invested, it doesn't rest easy with me b/c it leaves me not knowing if I can trust the integrity of the game from here out, and if I can't trust it then I don't want to put the time into it, and if I can't put the time into it then I won't get any enjoyment from it. Don't think I don't appreciate your concern or advise, b/c I do.
C'mon Todd, be a little more realistic. Alex Smith isn't some under the radar quarterback here... He's probably the second best FA quarterback on the market. schisno had a $3.0M bid on Flynn... Flynn got up to $7.5M in the past day... so he moved on. Sometimes when you don't get your guy, you move on to the next best thing... and unfortunately that means the price has to raise for the guy who originally had him.
