Is he breaking a rule? No, he's just being an inconvenience to those that he is being a vulture too. There is only so much I can control.
Not breaking a rule but half the guys he doesnt even want. Why should he be allowed to cut a payer he didnt want when the only reason its being done is to inconvenience people?
Ive only been doing this for 3 years. Whether its you or anyone else doing it consistently its babyish. Dont worry though, next year I wont be doing this league so enjoy.
And BuckeyeKing... if you think upping one of my bids within the last 10 minutes is going to show me the way and make a rule change... then think again. I know you're doing it out of spite so all I can say is grow up.
by the players he cuts? This is why I said take away cutting players signed as free agents to close the loophole.
No. I am not changing the rule. It gives teams flexibility and I am not taking that away from everyone. I'm not here to teach anyone a lesson...
babyish, says the guy essential taking his ball and going home. I'm just using the different tactics that can help someone sign a player, you can extend the bid so you have more time to come up with the free cash. Trust me the couple extra days works. If I can confuse GMs as to who I really want the better, then they'll be weary to bid on a player unless they really want them. Some times you have to develop tactics that work for you and run with it.
I already made the sugguestion that a team can't rebid on a player they cut after 48 hours hell make it 72 hours bam problem solved. Not sure what you mean its all strategy apparently. Its a guy you wanted for cheap if you want him he is yours for 550K.
You're being ridiculous and twisting my words. I told you that you should change your strategy to avoid conflicts like this. I am not going to up my bid to $550K because I don't value him at that... If you cut him, I'll bid $300K again. If not, I'll just find a different long-snapper for $300K. It's as simple as that.
If I valued him at $500K, then I would have bid on him at $500K. Kind of like I did with Cortez Allen. I valued my depth at cornerback at $500K. I, however, did not value my long snapper at $500K so I placed a minimum bid. Just like I did with my third string quarterback... and my kicker. What's so ****ing hard to understand about this?
So by not taking away from the team acting out you think its a fantastic idea to take away from the team being irritated. Got it. But he doesnt like when its done to him. You can paint it as some strategic move but youve never won a best in free agency award so you obviously arent doing it very well. Im only taking my ball and going home cause you just took a big fat crap on the court.
He was my back up option on Williams and Louis. Only thing is Louis can't play LG so I'm cool with it.
A long snapper. Much like Justin Snow, Cullen Loeffler... the unsung heroes of the special teams. The specialist of special teamers, if that ball isn't coming out straight then it could be over for em.
Actually I have won those awards, but I don't need to rest on old achivements. I'm just here to play the game man.
Not in the prior two years Ive done this league. Probably not this year either. To say its a strategy is a copout.
So what you're saying is your strategy is to scare everyone into bidding an extra 200k up front on every player (with 500k initial offers rather than 300k ones) in order to cut into their total FA spending money so that you'll potentially have a better chance of signing that big name player you want later on?
Thats part of it. Its more about overlapping bids to essentially gain extra bidding spots. But dont worry, its legal.
Hot damn it isn't the GM league without good ol fashioned DRAMA. Good **** Free agency is going to be a fun one.
You're not trying a new tactic, you're trying to teach me a lesson... I'll just bid on him for $300K though. And if you up his bid to $500K, I'll just let it sit there because I value him at $300K.
That's right, last year I had an amazing time doing the whole Peyton Manning thing and the year before that I was coGM with Griddles because I wasn't in any place for very long, so couldn't be as active in the league like normal. I know you wanna try and slag me with not winning these best in FA, best in trades awards which I have done and it's nice and all, but I come on here and play the way I've always played. It's a strategy. You can call it what you want but I'm just going to keep playing by the rules. I'm not gonna argue about a game, I'm just going to play it.
What if you cap the total number of 500k and under cuts we can make prior to the draft.... and then following the draft can only cut 500k and under FAs if we either draft their replacement (player of the same position) or are over the cap?
Buckeye, if you don't like what schisno is doing, then why are you doing it? I don't see it as helping your point. It's pretty obvious, imo. It's also pointless to get mad about this at the end of the free agency period for players cut. I think this issue should have been brought up before this league was organized but it's pretty late to be upset about it now.
If you want to up the bids on all my players, be my guest. But don't be surprised when you end up with players you don't want.
