Whoo I am thankful for Sean, that initial $900,000 bid for DeAngelo Williams was a regret almost right after I bid it it.
Has their been a more accurate QB to come out in recent memory? Serious question, his ball placement (yea yea) is outstanding.
I missed the $4 million bid on Bradford, but I'll consider him for 24 hours if I want to come back and beat it.
I'm going to hold off on Julius Peppers release (June 1 designation, $2.5m cap hit) under the hope that he restructures this week. If he retires, I'm ****ed right?
It's pretty stellar. Luck was a better overall prospect, but Winston is best since then. And Luck was the best QB prospect since, when, Manning? Sure I'm overlooking someone.
That would suck. Would you not get him taken off the roster? Seems like a retirement is theoretically the same as a restructure for our purposes.
I believe retirements go pass the restructure deadline, you can't pay a guy if he ain't gonna play. I hope some restructures happen this week too.
well I noticed the Giants cut David Wilson recently here... they incurred dead money as well I think... he retired last August. Hopefully if GIK reads this he can clear it up
Paul go bid on David Wilson then you can own his rights if he comes out of retirement and actually pay for a retired player. Maybe the league office needs to be like the monopoly bank... revenue sharing, taking money for international and retired player rights.
Melton's been too injured lately. Alright prospect for a strictly pass rushing tackle, abysmal in run defense.
Which is what I needed. A backup 3-4 end for pass rushing situations. My line should be stout against the run already.
Yah as Mach says they would go into a 4-3 in pass rushing and Melton would be pass rushing from the RDT spot.
Curious where Claiborne ends up $$ wise. I couldn't give him away as a free option in trades and had to take a June 1st cut with him.
Rob Ryan actually runs 3-3-5 with an extra safety as a half-LB/safety hybrid quite often these days in medium length distances where a run is still possible or the opposing team doesn't have a strong slot WR
Give him talent and he's a good coach. He made a mistake going to offensive minded teams his last two stops. Not to say I gave great defensive talent but there is some potential.
I don't agree with that on coordinators. A HC can latch onto a star QB or a dominant unit, but for a coordinator it doesn't matter how good your players are if you put them in poor position. Likewise you can put them in the right position and they can blow it. Coyle is a great example. Yes sometimes the talent makes him look good but he's always out schemed when it counts and having players like Cam Wake cover halfbacks.
Life sure does suck for Sam Bradford he was the last quarterback to take advantage of the uncapped rookie salary, that got him about 50 million guaranteed and now he's probably going to make another 10 million
Over/Under perecetage odds that Bradford not only breaks his wrist signing the contract but also his kneecap standing up from his seat.
I love to see the interest in Ted Larsen lol. I watched about half of Arizona's games last season and he got beat a lot. a lot.
