Funny seeing Odrick there...shows what happens when you don't have Wake and Suh to make you look like a superstar. I'll be surprised if we let Rambo walk too, he is a quality backup in an area where we really need depth.

 

Odrick did not have Suh, he had Randy Starks, who was pretty decent.

 

I wouldn't sign odrick, don't see the need for a vet presence at that backup spot.

Revis would be cool..

 

I do not understand why Mangold isn't on our team already. I mean like whats wrong with him knowing that Pouncey is injured like always?
That and us not having signed Landry to a new contract are like the big mysteries for me this offseason.

As much as I would LOVE to see Mangold on our team, even at 33, a 7 time Pro Bowl selectee wouldn't come cheap and I just don't know the MAN well enough to know whether or not he would sign and relegate himself to a back-up position.

 

Actually he doesn't have OCD. I may be wrong but from what I recall of our PoFo days, there was something in the TOS that if you copy/pasted from an article, you provided a link to avoid any potential improprieties of plagiarism.

Actually if I am correct (regarding the TOS), then it's NOT up to him. In today's STUPID letigus society (translation...stupid people suing just to sue), I think we would ALL agree we'd hate to see this site get sued for plagiarism just because someone chose not to credit the website from which they just copied/pasted.

I agree with you to a degree that they are unsigned for a reason and although $5M may not seem like a "ton of money" to you now, what happens when Jarvis Landry doesn't get the contract due to the sparing $5M here, and $5M there that goes against the salary cap?

And then let's also just say you don't but that particular argument, let's use what I call the Arian Foster argument. We signed a former stud running back, who didn't garner the salary he probably felt he deserved and what happened? He quit!!!!

I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that you get what you pay for and as I said earlier, as much as I would LOVE to have Mangold on our team, unless you PAY him you're not going to get him or if you do get him for pennies on the dollar, you risk signing another Arian Foster.

Zach Orr is an unrestricted free agent now. I would have the team doctors check him out.

 

I think JO may very well start if we signed him, the other DT spot isn't on lockdown, that's for sure.

I saw this on NFL Network this morning. I agree, he's at least worth a look.

 

Many vets prefer to skip TC and won't sign now. It's not accurate to assume that anybody who is a FA now will come in cheap. With Mangold specifically, he's had contact with several teams. He's in demand.

 

Soliai i'd take a flyer on him and Odrick.
