Speaking of Ronnie Brown, did anyone hear Trey Wingo's comments last night on ESPN? He said it was a good move by Parcells to renew Ricky's contract, because Ronnie Brown may NEVER recover from his knee injury. Come on now, he may never be 100% the same, but he will recover and play again.

Some people just don't have a brain or something. How old is Ricky Williams? What makes everyone think he is still a top runningback in this league when healthy? These guys live in the past. We will be lucky to get production out of him like an old Emmitt Smith gave to the Cardinals.
Ricky Williams is done, he's washed up. It's over with him. Just hang it up Ricky and retire. -

Ronnie: Hard to see the team, being rebuilt without Taylor and Thomas....hard to replace guys like that....
-
Ronnie: O-line as a group did a great job....took a lot of heat in the beginning ...responded in a special way.....didn't have top deal with injuries like they had the previous year...
said all the standard answers...nothing new nothing controversial.....interview over -
They asked if he sees the team being rebuilt without guys like taylor or thomas..he said he wasnt sure but it would be hard to rebuild without cornerstone players like that...
About OL... as a group he thinks they did a great job, they responded well early in the season, came together great in camp,
Said his knee feels great and he'll be ready for TC...
I missed any questions about parcells or cam, sorry fellas -

Ronnie Brown's injury was nowhere near as severe as Deuce McAllister's first injury [Deuce blow to the knee was really ugly], and McAllister came back stronger than before and came back to play at a high level before he tore it again.
-
Horrible interview.. They did not ask anything..
I heard the whole thing, The dead air was laughable..
How about asking him what he thinks about the changes, how he viewd the locker room situation in Miami? about the rumor of Cam trying to take down Jason Taylor or what the feeling from the players was tword the old staff?
Something to give us some insite on that horrible season?
man that interview was horrible..
Ronnie says hes getting healthy but I question that. He has not stayed injury free yet.. -
His injury his rookie year? Only missed one game... and he didnt even have to. They said that if the game meant anything, he would have played... but since we were tryingn to showcase Ricky at the time anyway, there was no real sense in playing him.
This ACL does concern me. It has to. But it wasnt exactly from running the ball either. He tore it trying to make a tackle after one of the many Cleo INTs... -
Miami would be absolutely stupid to cut Ricky and let someone else have him. He can still be a BIG factor for this team in the future, and he's CHEAP. -
Ricky is no where near as good as he used to be.
Its amazing the love people have for this guy, yet they have no problem bashing Ronnie Brown, when he has worked harder in these 3 years than Ricky has for us. -
-
-
He could have returned this year late if he and the staff had chose to.
Seeing how badly the season was going they decided to shelve him and allow a more conservative recovery.... thankfully. -
I live in Calgary, Canada and have been watching Ricky since he was in College..., and he was like "nothing special" in the CFL... In Toronto the team wasn't schemed to run out of the "I" but when RW had a chance he really sputtered..., and then he got injured twice so I wonder if his body is just showing the signs of all those oundeings he gave and received...
I know It hurts to hit people..., and he hits like 90% harder than I ever could... -

Trey Wingo doesn't have a clue. It wasn't a daunte Culpepper injury at all. Also, it's not 20 years ago when this injury meant a career. Hey, how much did it slow down Braylon Edwards???
Ronnie is a hard worker and a great character guy. I fully expect him to pick up where he left off. I am fully confident that he will be over 4.5 yards a carry and have 2000 all purpose yards nect year, even with Ricky.
As far as Ronnie's rebuilding comments, it really got me thinking. He may very well be the last remaining link that keeps many other people Dolphin fans. I mean who else do we have left without Zach and Jason??? -
Ricky is finished. I think people are to wrapped up in his former potential to let go.

i think Trey's comments if that is what he said are more of a hey look how smart BP is by signing Ricky
than a shot at Ronnie being done-if he did say it then yeah based on his medical training is probably one of the dumbest things ever said at ESPN.Then again i think they have a guy who just tells them to spice it up and be somewhat controversial. -
While I don't beleive he is anywhere near what he used to be, but I think he can be productive. He showed signs of speed and quickness on the worst field conditions of the year during the Pittsburgh game.
His first carry, he ran for 5 yards and a first down, breaking a tackle to get there.
Second carry up the middle, he was hit by 3 guys right at the line.
Third carry was out to the right, two Steelers hit him right at the line. One was untouched, and the other made Martin look like a fool by getting away from his block before Ricky made it back to the line.
Fourth carry, made a nice cutback and dove over two tacklers to get himself an extra 2-3 yards
Fifth carry, famous, "I was stepped on" carry. This is where his duribility has nothing to do with his only getting 6 carries.
The video I was watching does not show the 6th carry, but we all know that he carried it, and then left after due to what we now know as a torn pectoral muscle.

I also never said he couldnt be productive. but can he be a top back in the league. I seriously doubt it. Somewhere in the middle is mroe realistic. thats my point -
-
Obviously he's not. He's gunna be 31 next season and hasnt really played football for about 2 years now. But seriously, if he is our second running back next year i bet he gets close to 500 yards and at least 3 TD's. He still can play football and he hasnt taken the poundings that most 31 year old running backs have. Obviously he isnt what he used to be but the guy can still play good football and if he was the starter i truly believe he could get 1,000 yards rushing and 8 TD's. -
