The Bucs are considering benching RE Gaines Adams after he recorded zero sacks in the team's first two games.
Adams posted a goose egg in Week 1 against Dallas LT Flozell Adams, and had four tackles but got little pressure vs. Bills LT Demetrius Bell on Sunday. Dropping Adams from the lineup would be a huge disappointment after the Bucs used the 4th overall pick on him in 2007. His motor runs too hot and cold.

Bucs coach Raheem Morris says DE Gaines Adams will be a bust if he doesn't record double-digit sacks this season.
"That's what he's graded on, there's no secret about it," explained Morris. Adams is lining up wide of offensive tackles in Jim Bates' system, a move that is expected to free him up to use his athleticism. Double-digit sacks is a reasonable goal.
