this is really shocking. i didnt even know he had cancer. I hate to think about it ,but how does this now affect the labor talks? i cant imagine its good as finding his successor and etc will take time and may negate any progress made ,but he was a big opponet of rookie pay scales and a salary cap i believe.does this now change the unions direction?
SAd day for the NFL Gene was a great asset to the NFL, Ill be saying a pray for his family and friends today... The NFL will miss him... Rest in Peace Gene!
RIP Gene. Pancreatic cancer is what killed my stepdad-it is a nasty, fast-moving, aggressive form of cancer. Pretty much once you are diagnosed, you need to make final arrangements because you don't have long. Less than 1% remission/survival rate with that particular cancer. I feel for his family, it's a very tough road.
I lost a grandmother to pancreatic cancer and it is something that is indeed nasty in every way (something that I never want). So I know what his family is going through...RIP Gene.
