this is really shocking. i didnt even know he had cancer.

I hate to think about it ,but how does this now affect the labor talks? i cant imagine its good as finding his successor and etc will take time and may negate any progress made ,but he was a big opponet of rookie pay scales and a salary cap i believe.does this now change the unions direction?

Man, no wonder he wouldn't willingly step down and thought people were trying to oust him.

RIP Gene. Pancreatic cancer is what killed my stepdad-it is a nasty, fast-moving, aggressive form of cancer. Pretty much once you are diagnosed, you need to make final arrangements because you don't have long. Less than 1% remission/survival rate with that particular cancer.

I feel for his family, it's a very tough road.

I lost a grandmother to pancreatic cancer and it is something that is indeed nasty in every way (something that I never want).

So I know what his family is going through...RIP Gene.
