Really doesn't impact them all that much. If they beat you, it'll probably be because of defense or run game. Are Geno and Fitzpatrick all that different? -
They are saying Petty is nowhere near ready to start as a pro QB.

KNBR is reporting Geno was sticking his fingered up in the guys face hence why he got clocked.
Plus there are reports he got paid $600 to go to a charity event for one of his team mates or so and left earlier. Was asked to pay back the money and he refused. Not sure if true or not.
