We could use a new NT. The Raiders' Gerard Warren is slated to be cut. He's 31 but he's a good rotational player. He's being cut because of a roster bonus. On a side note, he is 5 years younger than Fergie but has 11.5 more sacks and 30 less tackles. Considering he had 35 tackles last year, he'll better Ferguson's current production in 4 years less time.

I'm just saying, he'd be a damn good stop gap for us allowing us to develop a NT. He's from Florida guys. He'll fit right in with Crowder and Dansby.
Edit: Soliai is our project. Warren brings about 5 more years production which will allow us to develop Soliai and a draft pick for when Warren retires. I forgot how young Soliai is.

I would be happy with that. I really dont want to see the phins draft a NT in first 3 rounds

Anything that prevents Miami from using (err, "reaching with") the 12th pick on a DT...

I would accept the move.

Not no but hell no

No thanks. There is a reason he was released by Oakland. He just isn't any good. He's lazy and couldn't keep blockers off the LB's in Oakland. I doubt he could hold up people at the point here.

Pass, he was let go by the RAIDERS for heaven's sake. Oh wait, he might actually be pretty good considering that statement.

First off, he's not a NT by any stretch of the imagination.
Second, what does he being from Florida have to do with anything? -
got Fergie to school the position
takes two years to get it down right
Solai is good enough to start
pick the best NT available
in this years draft & coach him up
Fergie will be available 4 the final run
(would use our second & third pick on a FreeSafety & TE) -
