If you haven't read the Peter King bit in MMQB, here's a really good interview with Thomas and Jesse Agler. Makes you want to keep rooting for this kid; hopefully he's a Dolphin for a long while.

You can tell from this interview he's still on a high from the game. Coaches are going to have a hard time bringing him back down to earth for the Bills. In a way, you want him to be playing with the same level of confidence, but not too much to where it prevents him from doing the little things necessary. Blue Adams, the assistant coach he refers to really does deserve a ton of credit as well. If you look at Blue's resume, 8 pro teams in 6 years, including some CFL and WFL teams. That's a well traveled player. Jeff Burris as well, another assistant DB coach.
Great to see that Ireland got one over on Harbaugh and the 49ers.Tin Indian and MrClean like this. -

jboogie The sky is NOT falling!
I hope he didn't Flynn this game and is the real deal.

It's amazing to watch him basically become a cult hero over the past few days... I expected him to get some recognition on Sunday but it's been bigger than I thought it would be.
He seems like a great guy so hopefully his career continues to blossom in Miami.
Pretty funny moment during an interview between Mike Wallace and Michael Thomas.Tin Indian, Ronnie Bass, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -
Awesome stuff. He's definitely still on cloud 9, and who can blame him? He had the moment of his life and he's soaking it all in.
He seems like someone we will be proud to call a Dolphin. Humble, smart, respectful. I hope he has continued success.
Also, the coaching staff has come under fire at times this season, but they deserve a ton of credit for getting him ready on such short notice. Kudos to Clemons and Jones as well for people his on-field teacher and helper.Bpk likes this. -
Hopefully he stays and becomes a great player for a while with us, I mean a prospect the 49ers thought could help them in the future can definitely help us as well
-
I've heard him also praise Philbin for calling the timeouts on that last drive to just kind of reset the defense and give Clemons/Jones time to communicate with the rest of the defensive backs on what to do on those final four throws into the endzone.
Super cult hero status is right.
He's on a two year deal with us no matter what.
He had no reps in our regular defense in practice last week, not one. They were all on the scout team defense.
To think he A, almost missed the phone call from his agent/family that another team was interested in him. He was half an hour away from us moving on to another player. And B Ireland also didn't give him much time to get on the plane to come to Miami either. But in the end, what's really great is that it's a 49er player (after the whole Harbaugh thing a couple of years ago). Thomas has to choose to come here. It's not like we go to his agent and just flat out sign him, there's a negotiation. He CHOSE to come here! Miami? Washed up piece of **** franchise that can't lure anyone. From the 49ers, super bowl contender... chose to come here... smart move :wink2:MikeHoncho likes this. -

And you have to include "brought to you by COKE ZERO!" as well. -
It was just an embarrassing premature, not very smart for the culture, move.
Maybe we should dig to find out who did it and publicly display how ridiculous the display was, help keep others from doing something so dumb.xphinfanx likes this. -
